Our First Friday of 2015 will mark the opening of two new exhibits.  

Main Gallery: Process, an exhibit of the work of students and faculty of the Wayne Community College Information Systems Technology Department.  This exhibit will feature examples of 3D modeling, 2D game art, concept art, and video game level design.

TA Loving Gallery: Junior Women's Club Student Art Exhibit featuring artwork by Wayne County School students.

First Friday is free, family-friendly, and everyone is welcome.

Alex DePue with Miguel DeHoyos Concert at the Paramount Theatre, Goldsboro

Wayne Community Concerts' 3rd concert of the season will feature Alex DePue with Miguel DeHoyos, who will entertain us with an evening of award winning violin fiddling and guitar.  DePue started classical violin lessons at age 5 and won competitions at ages 10 and 16, which entitled him to perform at Carnegie Hall with the National Guild Youth Orchestra.  He reigned as Michigan State Fiddling Champion from 1994-1998 and appeared regularly on the Grand Ole Opry.  

Admission is by season ticket or individual tickets are $25 and can be purchased at online or by calling the Paramount Theatre 919-583-8432.

March's First Friday will feature the DGDC's Downtown Rendering Project Display 

AND....the Downtown Art Walk 4pm to 8pm!  

The Arts Council has teamed up with fifteen downtown Goldsboro businesses and organizations and over twenty local artists for this first ever event. Interested in participating? We've made it a little easier.  Here are your two options -

1) You can download and print the Art Walk Map and the Art Walk Passport.  Start your Art Walk journey at any of the participating businesses listed on the map and visit them in any order you prefer.  Get your Passport stamped at each of your stops.  Once, you've completed the Art Walk, bring your Passport to the Arts Council of Wayne County, 102 N John Street, downtown Goldsboro NO LATER THAN 8:15pm on March 6.  You'll be entered to win a $100 gift certificate to the Arts Council's Art Market.  

OR...

2) On Friday, March 6 starting at 4pm you can come to the Arts Council of Wayne County, 102 N Johh Street, downtown Goldsboro to pick up an Art Walk Map and an Art Walk Passport.  Start your Art Walk journey at any of the participating businesses listed on the map and visit them in any order you prefer.
