About the Event
It may be Black History Month, but we're celebrating the past, present, and future of Black excellence! We have a moving line-up of stories, expressions, and traditions of Black culture, art, and history to share in a joyful and reverent celebration.
What to expect:
All of your soul-food senses to be indulged! Get a taste of Harper Ribs & Wings.
The dynamic, authentic, hometown energy of Jermaine Dawson as host and emcee.
The story of a young man whose advocacy for equal rights in his community during the Civil Rights Era of the 1960s led him to a meeting with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr— an open book History Talk with local artist, author, advocate, and educator Lloyd Turlington.
Storytelling of a different kind. Melt into a spiritual dance performance by our faithful and talented Board Member, Torette Williams.
